This past semester, I took Human Computer Interaction (INFO-I 300). In this class, we had a semester long project, in which we were tasked with creating an app on Figma that solved a social issue. My team's social issue was: how is social media affecting mental health among young adults? We created UnPlug. UnPlug is an app that tracks one's screentime and shares that data with family and friends. Our app creates a friendly competition focused on decreasing one's screen time. Along with setting screen time goals, users can also create goals geared towards building hobbies.
To the right, is the final presentation of our product. You can see the different phases/prototypes of UnPlug along with summaries of our research.
This past Summer, I interned with Do it Best Corporation. During my internship, I had the opportunity to create real-time response workflows for email threats, transforming a once manual process into a fully automated system. I also conducted and rolled out an organization wide phishing campaign that included remedial training for users who failed, significantly improving awareness and resilience towards phishing threats.
In February 2024, I participated in my first case competition hosted by Kelley's Masters of Information Systems program. The competition was a week long and gave me valuable experience in combining my technology and business skills. The situation provided and main question in this case competition was; how can Netflix utilize cloud gaming to keep customers and attract new customers with their innovative, customer centric, and data analysis marketing strategy? Check out my team's project to the right.
In May 2024, I visited my old high school. I talked to current computer science and cybersecurity students about my experience at Indiana University Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering! I enjoyed answering the daunting questions about college and technology. I hope my presentation persuaded students to look further into and join the Luddy family. Take a look at my presentation to the right. Go Hoosiers! Go Chargers!
